“After meeting with you we felt very comfortable and thought we would get more personal attention. And your prices are very fair - you guys did an AMAZING job. ”

You’re not the one who does this for a living. If you’re like most couples, your wedding will be the first time you’ve ever booked an entertainer. You could use some help comparing apples to apples. And you need to know what to expect in terms of cost.

While the exact cost of your wedding entertainment will depend on your specific needs and tastes, this page should give you an idea of what to expect – both for our services and for those of any professional event entertainers in the Chicago area. For a personal rate, or to find the service package that’s right for your budget, contact us today.

DJ Services start at $1000 and include quality sound, Chicago-area travel and advance planning and production. Don’t pay less in the Chicago area unless you’re prepared to compromise service.

Dance bands in Chicago may book for as little as $3000 or as much as $8000, $10,000 or even more. Rates vary with the professionalism and experience of your entertainers, the length of performances and – of course – the number of musicians needed. The Total Package is a seven-member team and generally books complete receptions starting at $4000.

Ceremony and cocktail music rates can vary, but $250 per musician is a reasonable expectation when you’re budgeting for small ensembles. The first hour (and the first musician) are the most expensive, so expect to pay less per hour (or per musician) when you’re contracting for additional hours or incorporating additional musicians. The least expensive route is almost always to use the same company and the same musicians for as much of your wedding day as possible.

Finally, remember that the degree of personalization and planning you expect may also affect the price of music services. A pianist who plays “The Wedding March” at every wedding can charge less than one who customizes each ceremony – he doesn’t have to rehearse new music (or even answer the phone!). If you’re looking for the personal approach, you’ve come to the right place.
